Information for International Exchange Students

As a highly recognized International School of Management, we would like to take this opportunity to welcome our international students from our partner universities across Europe and the world.

The SESOM prides itself on the service it provides to students who come to visit us from abroad. We know that the time you spend with us is valuable and will go by all too quickly. We will do our best to ensure that it is both beneficial and enjoyable.

A student attending a partner institute of the SESOM and coming to France on a student exchange program should first obtain approval for studies in France from a representative in their institute.

Along with the advisor’s recommendation, the student should send his/her application form to SESOM to assure course selection and placement.
The SESOM will then send the student a letter (or fax, if the deadline is too close) of admission, in the case of a Non EU student this should then be sent to the French embassy as part of the visa application.

After the necessary arrangements have been made between the SESOM and your university you will need to make you own travel arrangements from your home country to Saint-Etienne.

It is advisable to begin preparations well in advance to ensure that you have:
  • sorted out your financial arrangements
  • arranged your accommodation
  • the necessary paperwork, documents and visas

However do not be alarmed if you have not sorted out any of the above; the information on this web site is designed to help you.

Once you have arrived at the SESOM a representative from the International Office will be ready to greet you. The date and time for your presence will be given to you at a later date.
